For couples whose lives are rooted in faith, a wedding day carries a meaning that goes far beyond a celebration. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, marriage is not only about the beginning of a life together, it is about making sacred covenants that bind families for eternity! As an LDS wedding photographer, I have the privilege of documenting weddings that are deeply intentional, faith-centered, and filled with lasting significance. These are not just moments to be remembered for a day, but memories that become part of a family’s legacy!
From temple sealings to joyful celebrations with loved ones, every part of the wedding day reflects a love that is grounded in something greater.
LDS weddings are beautifully different from traditional wedding days. Rather than a public ceremony, couples are sealed in a temple in a sacred and private ordinance.
Because of this, the structure of the day often looks different. Instead of a single ceremony followed by a reception, LDS weddings may include:
• a temple sealing
• a ring ceremony
• a luncheon with family
• a reception or celebration later in the day
Each part of the day holds its own meaning, and together they tell the full story of the beginning of a marriage! And as a member and as a bride as well sealed in the temple, I totally understand all of the options!
Temple sealings are at the heart of an LDS wedding day. During the sealing, couples kneel across an altar and make covenants that unite them for time and eternity.
Because temples are places of worship, photography is not permitted inside, as an LDS Wedding Photographer, I understand this! This makes the moments before and after the sealing incredibly meaningful to capture.
Some of the most treasured moments include:
• the quiet anticipation before entering the temple
• the moment a couple exits the temple as newlyweds
• joyful embraces with family and friends
• portraits on the temple grounds + family photos
These moments are filled with emotion, reverence, and joy!!!

Many couples choose to include a ring ceremony so that friends and family who cannot attend the temple can still be part of the wedding day! I did that for my wedding, and I HIGHLY recommend! And it’s just extra photos too!!
Ring ceremonies are often heartfelt and emotional, providing a meaningful opportunity to share vows and celebrate with loved ones.
Following the temple sealing and ring ceremony, couples often gather for a reception filled with laughter, connection, and celebration!
My approach to wedding photography is centered on capturing genuine moments as they naturally unfold!
I focus on:
• connection over perfection
• natural, timeless imagery
• meaningful interactions
• emotional moments
For faith-centered weddings, this means documenting not only what the day looks like, but what it feels like.
The quiet moments, the joyful tears, the way your family surrounds you, these are the moments that matter most!
I serve couples in locations that hold meaning to them, whether that’s near a temple, a family home, or a place that reflects their story.
Many LDS couples celebrate their weddings across multiple locations, and I love being able to document each part of that experience in a way that feels cohesive and intentional. All of these moments are so important to you, and I am so grateful that I get to capture them!

Wedding photographs become more meaningful with time. They are shared with children, looked back on during anniversaries, and passed down through generations. For couples who value faith and family, these images become part of a legacy, a reminder of where it all began!
If you are planning a temple sealing or faith-centered wedding, it would be an honor to document your day!
