Hello and welcome to the blog!
I love sharing personal stories, recent sessions, recent weddings, tips & tricks for family sessions, tips for my brides and your wedding day, outfit suggestions, location ideas & suggestions, my husband and I, personal things about me and my little family, and some of the behind-the-scenes of being a photographer.
Feel free to take a look around and stay a while!

One of the most important parts of my job as a wedding and family photographer is connection. The more comfortable you feel with me, the more genuine your photos will be. That’s why I love sharing pieces of who I am, not just what I do!
When you invite me into your wedding day or family milestones, you’re trusting me with moments you can’t get back. I’ve found that when we have that personal connection, you’re not just hiring a photographer. You’re inviting in a friend who’s just as invested in your memories as you are.
So, here are 5 (okay well 6) random facts you probably don’t know about me, little glimpses into the person behind the camera.
Some people are coffee people. Some are tea people. Me? I’m a Dr. Pepper girl through and through. I always have one nearby when I’m editing, and on wedding days, it’s my go-to pick-me-up between the ceremony and reception! It’s the key to my heart!
It’s not just the taste, it’s a comfort thing. It’s like having a little piece of home with me. Whether I’m photographing a wedding in North Georgia, capturing fall portraits in Cumming Georgia, or traveling for a destination session, it’s there.
And if you happen to bring me a Dr. Pepper at your wedding, engagement session, or family session? Just know you’ll have a photographer who is extra happy and grateful!!!!
In 2022, I did something I’d always wanted to do, jump out of a plane. It was one of the most exhilarating moments of my life. The rush of air and the breathtaking view were unforgettable. The overwhelming sense of I’m really doing this reminded me so much of the joy and courage I see in my couples.
I loved it so much that I bought another jump before I even left the landing area. And yes… I’m still planning to go again!
Skydiving taught me that the best moments in life are often the ones that feel a little scary at first. That’s why I encourage my clients to try new things during their sessions. Whether it’s running barefoot through a field, twirling under the stars, or leaning into those emotional, unposed moments, it’s worth it.
Meet my furry sidekick, my teacup poodle. She’s tiny, full of personality, and my constant shadow when I’m working from home. She sits beside me while I edit, keeps me company during late-night gallery deliveries, and makes sure I take breaks for walks (her way of getting me away from the computer).
She’s taught me the beauty of simple moments, something I carry into my work. Not every photo has to be a grand, sweeping shot. Sometimes the most powerful images are the quiet, everyday moments between people who love each other.
If you know me, you know I’m a big Atlanta Braves fan. My husband and I love going to games together, it’s one of our favorite date nights.
There’s something about being in that stadium, surrounded by energy, sharing snacks, and cheering together that feels like making a core memory. Honestly? That’s what I want for my clients too. Your wedding day should feel like your version of that. It should be full of joy, connection, and unforgettable moments you’ll relive for years to come.
Music has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been to over 120 concerts (yes, you read that right!), and each one has been special in its own way.
Live music has a way of freezing a feeling in time, just like a photograph does. You can hear a certain song years later and instantly remember exactly where you were, who you were with, and how you felt.
That’s how I want your wedding photos to be. They should be not just images you see, but experiences you feel all over again.
Brady and I met in high school, started dating in 2019, and tied the knot in May 2024. We’ve been through school, his two-year church mission, college life, and now marriage, and he’s truly my best friend.
He’s my biggest cheerleader in this business, the one who carries my gear without complaint, and the person who reminds me to slow down and enjoy the little moments. Our relationship reminds me daily why I believe so deeply in love stories, and why photographing yours is such an honor.

These little details might seem small, but they’re part of the bigger picture of who I am and why I do what I do. My love for connection, my belief in making memories, my joy in the little things, those aren’t just “fun facts.” They shape the way I photograph your story!
When you choose Amanda Jenkins Photography, you’re not just booking someone to take technically beautiful photos. You’re booking someone who believes in creating images that feel timeless, joyful, and full of heart. They will be photos that reflect the way your day felt, not just how it looked.
Whether you’re looking for a North Georgia wedding photographer, an Dallas wedding photographer, or someone to follow you to the place that means the most to you, I’d love to meet you.
📩 Click here to contact me and tell me a few fun facts about yourself, too. Who knows? Maybe we’ll find out we both love Dr. Pepper, Braves baseball, if you have a highschool sweetheart, or jumping out of airplanes.
Because when we connect beyond the camera, that’s when the magic happens, and your photos will feel just as real as the moments they capture!
