A romantic Lake Lanier couple session in Cumming, Georgia with golden hour light and timeless, connection-filled moments! There are some sessions that just feel like home, and this was one of them! Being a Cumming Georgia Photographer is my favorite!
Brenton’s family, my family, and Brady’s (my husbands) family, have been family friends for a long time. We grew up together with our families close friends, and it’s been so fun. So when he started dating Charlotte, I remember just knowing… she was it. She fits him so well, and getting to watch their relationship grow has been the sweetest thing!
Getting to photograph them in this season felt really special to me!
We chose Charleston Park on Lake Lanier for their session, and what made it even more meaningful is something I didn’t know until we arrived, it’s one of their places. From their graduation party to exchanging promise rings, this spot already held so much of their story. And once I knew that, everything about the session felt deeper.
The whole evening felt like catching up with old friends. We laughed the entire time, like truly nonstop, and it didn’t feel like a session in the traditional sense. It felt easy, natural, and completely them… which always leads to the most meaningful images! I love when I feel like a friend to you, because we can make the most beautiful photos, and it’s just so much fun! As a Cumming Georgia Photographer, it’s so special to me!

We started in the flowers, with honeysuckles blooming and bees buzzing in the flowers, and Charlotte in the prettiest blue, flowy dress that moved so effortlessly in the breeze! Brenton was calm and steady beside her, and nothing felt forced, it was just them being together. We wandered through the trees, slowing down for those quiet, in-between moments, and ended by the water as the light turned soft and glowy. Finishing on the dock felt simple and peaceful, the perfect way to close the night and this sweet session!

What I love most about these two is how grounded their relationship feels. There’s such a strong foundation of friendship there, you can see it in the way they laugh together, the way they understand each other, and how natural everything feels between them! It’s steady, joyful, and real!
Sessions like this are such a reminder that these moments matter, not just for now, but for years from now. The laughter, the places that meant something, and the season you were in… all preserved in a way you can come back to.

And getting to capture that for people who mean something to me will always be one of my favorite parts of what I do!
If you’re dreaming of a session that feels natural, meaningful, and true to your story, I would love to connect with you!
