Hello and welcome to the blog!
I love sharing personal stories, recent sessions, recent weddings, tips & tricks for family sessions, tips for my brides and your wedding day, outfit suggestions, location ideas & suggestions, my husband and I, personal things about me and my little family, and some of the behind-the-scenes of being a photographer.
Feel free to take a look around and stay a while!

When I first started as a wedding photographer in Northern Georgia, my focus was simple: take beautiful photos that couples would be proud to frame. I obsessed over perfect lighting, flawless posing, and finding the most scenic backdrops. I thought my job was to create a gallery full of “Pinterest-worthy” images.
And while those polished, breathtaking portraits still matter… there was one wedding day that changed everything for me.
It was a sunny afternoon at a charming countryside venue. The couple had been together for years, and the excitement was contagious. The day was running smoothly—portraits were on time, the ceremony was gorgeous, and I was already mentally patting myself on the back for how many “perfect” shots I’d captured.
Then, during the reception, I noticed the bride’s father step away from the crowd. He was standing in the corner, holding his drink, watching his daughter laugh with her new husband on the dance floor. His eyes welled up, and he quietly wiped away a tear before anyone noticed.
Without thinking, I lifted my camera and captured that split-second moment. No posing, no adjusting—just truth.
Weeks later, when I delivered their wedding gallery, I received a message from the bride. She told me that her father rarely showed emotion in public. That single photo of him—tears in his eyes, pride on his face—meant more to her than almost any other image I’d taken that day.
That’s when it clicked for me: my work isn’t just about pretty pictures. It’s about documenting feelings, relationships, and the unrepeatable moments that tell the full story of a wedding day.
Now, when I describe my style as legacy wedding photography, I don’t just mean I occasionally grab a few unscripted shots. I mean I intentionally create space for the unplanned to unfold.
Yes, you’ll still get beautifully lit portraits and the traditional shots you want for your album. But you’ll also see the quiet glances, the bursts of laughter, the way your grandparents hold hands during the vows, and the joyful chaos of the dance floor.
These are the images that will matter decades from now, when you’re showing your wedding album to your children and grandchildren.
As Amanda Jenkins Photography, my goal is to give couples more than a gallery of “pretty” photos. I want you to have tangible reminders of how your wedding felt. I want you to remember the way your hands shook while holding your vows, the way your best friends screamed with excitement as you were announced as a married couple, and the way you felt wrapped in each other’s arms at the end of the night.
Pretty is nice. But meaningful is unforgettable.
When you choose a photographer, you’re not just hiring someone to take pictures, you’re trusting them to preserve one of the most important days of your life. My promise is to capture the details you’ve planned for months and the moments you never saw coming.
So years from now, when the flowers have faded and the cake is long gone, you’ll still have the feeling of your wedding day preserved in every frame.
If you’re looking for a Northern Georgia wedding photographer who values authentic storytelling as much as beautiful portraits, I’d love to connect.
