I think sunrise engagement sessions might officially have my heart!!! They are so dreamy! Prairie Creek Park engagement photos will be a new favorite!
Callie and Logan’s engagement session at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson, Texas was the DREAMIEST morning, and getting to photograph these two during such a sweet season of their lives made it even better!
These two are getting married (!!!) in December, and I seriously cannot wait!! They are the most darling couple, so incredibly sweet together, and you can immediately tell how much they love each other! And the way he looks at her!! Oh my heart!! They genuinely just have the best time together, which made photographing them SO easy and so much fun!
Callie actually found Prairie Creek Park while we were planning their engagement session, and I am so glad she did because this little spot was absolutely perfect for them!
A Sunrise Engagement Session in Richardson, Texas
Callie and Logan have been doing long distance, so finding a time when they were actually in the same place made this engagement session feel even more special! The next time we’ll all be together is for bridals in November!
We decided on sunrise, which ended up being the best decision, especially for a Texas summer engagement session!!
Not only did we get to avoid some of that Texas heat, but we also had the prettiest, quiet morning to explore Prairie Creek Park together!
We started while it was still a little darker outside, and one of my favorite things about their gallery is watching the morning slowly get brighter as you move through their photos. Everything started off soft and dreamy, and then we got more and more of that beautiful morning light as the sun came up. It was SO pretty!! I love having time before my engagement sessions so we’re not stressed before getting the glow, we have time to walk to our spot and get situated before it comes up and warmed up before photos!
Prairie Creek Park Engagement Photos
We started their session around the top of the waterfall and explored some of the areas surrounding it before slowly making our way down toward the falls!
Prairie Creek Park is such a beautiful engagement photo location in Richardson because you can get so much variety without needing to drive anywhere else during your session. You have the waterfall, giant trees, greenery, little pathways, fences, and open areas that all feel a little different while still making the entire gallery feel cohesive!
And Callie and Logan looked SO cute in all of it!! I mean their outfits!!! Come on!!!
We took our time around the waterfall before eventually making our way down to photograph them right in front of it. The falls made such a fun backdrop and gave their engagement photos something a little different from the typical Dallas engagement session location.
Country-Inspired Outfits
One of my favorite things about this session was what Callie and Logan chose to wear!!
They leaned into a little bit of a country-inspired look with their boots and hats, and I absolutely loved it. The colors they chose photographed beautifully against all of the greenery and natural scenery around Prairie Creek Park.
Your engagement session outfits can add so much personality to your photos, and these two are the perfect example of choosing something that still feels elevated while actually feeling like YOU.
After exploring around the falls, we found the cutest little fence surrounded by these huge trees and obviously had to stop for photos!! This little area gave us an entirely different feel from the waterfall. Between the fence, giant trees, their outfits, and the soft morning light, everything came together SO beautifully.
Some of my favorite engagement session locations are honestly the little places we find along the way that weren’t necessarily part of the original plan!

Engagement Photos in the Field
Before heading back to our cars, we found one more little field near the falls and decided to finish their session there. And I am SO glad we did!!
By this point, the sun had come up even more and we had the prettiest morning light coming through the trees. That glow is my favorite!! We got to take some relaxed photos, and soak up the last little bit of their session.
I also photographed Callie’s engagement ring while we were there, which is always one of my favorite details to capture!
I love taking a few minutes during engagement sessions to photograph the ring because it is such a tiny but meaningful part of this season. One day, these photos won’t just be about the ring, they’ll remind you of the season when you were counting down the days until you got to marry your person! What a special season, as a bride!

Why Choose a Special Location for Engagements?
If you’re looking for engagement photo locations near Dallas, Prairie Creek Park in Richardson is such a pretty option.
It has a romantic, natural feel without being just another open field. The waterfall gives you a really beautiful focal point, while the surrounding trees, greenery, fences, and open spaces create plenty of variety throughout your gallery. And if you’re planning engagement photos during the warmer months in Dallas-Fort Worth, I would absolutely consider doing a sunrise session!
The temperatures are typically more comfortable than later in the day, popular locations can be quieter, and that soft morning light can be absolutely beautiful.
Plus, there is something really sweet about having this entire little adventure together before most people have even started their day!
Callie & Logan
I seriously just adore these two!
Getting to photograph Callie and Logan together after they’ve spent so much of their relationship doing long-distance made this morning even sweeter. Watching them laugh together, love on each other, and just genuinely enjoy getting to be together was so special!
And this is only the beginning!!! Next up, I get to photograph Callie’s BRIDALS in November, and then in December, these two finally get to become HUSBAND + WIFE!!!
I am so incredibly excited for them and so grateful that I get to be a little part of this season of their lives. Callie and Logan, I cannot WAIT to celebrate you two again so soon!!!
